I created this blog to showcase what my Environmental Science students at the University of West Florida are doing to better our community while volunteering for non-profit organizations and environmental agencies in northwest Florida.
I have found my students have a wide range of interests and have dedicated hours to a variety of projects ranging from helping to feed families in need while learning about sustainable agriculture and the benefits of local and organic foods to bagging oyster shells and creating reefs while learning about the need to protect and create coastal habitats and water pollution.
If you are in northwest Florida area and have a project in need of volunteers which my students could learn from please contact me at chobbs@uwf.edu.
