Roy Hyatt

Ms. Ruby Lyas did some of her service learning this semester with Roy Hyatt Environmental Center. Below is a blurb she shared and a photo collage she created: 

The Roy Hyatt Environmental Center hosted an event that included numerous activities informing children and adults about the different organisms that live on Earth with them. Different organizations came out such as the Escambia Department of Waste Management and Wildlife Sanctuary to provide information. As a volunteer I worked as a craft worker helping the event goers participate in making crafts such as fingerprint animals, mobile snakes, and insect bracelets. The children and adults were able to also explore the various birds featured on the Bird Bus, the Butterfly Garden, and the different reptiles inside of the environmental centers reptile museum.
